We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Jacksonville, Florida. This role is fundamental to managing our inventory accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for the initial receipt and processing of all incoming goods, ensuring they are correctly documented and stored.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect incoming goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Prepare goods for storage by labeling and organizing them.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers regarding deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Perform tasks that involve some lifting of packages and materials.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments regarding incoming stock.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics is a plus.
- Familiarity with WMS and RF scanners is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring some lifting, typically up to 30 lbs.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and correct PPE usage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
