We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Associate at our Virginia Beach, Virginia facility. This role is integral to our daily warehouse operations, involving the efficient handling of goods. Your duties will encompass receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products. The successful candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. As part of our logistics team, you'll contribute to the seamless flow of inventory and fulfillment of orders. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload materials from trucks.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Store goods in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Pick items accurately based on customer orders or internal requests.
- Pack orders securely, ensuring product integrity during transit.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, including labeling and documentation.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks (forklift operation is a plus).
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory management.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and stooping for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Commitment to safety protocols and the proper use of PPE.
- Flexibility to work overtime or different shifts as operational needs dictate.
