Location Remote – Within commutable distance to Dundee for meetings. At least 1 day a week will be worked in the Dundee Office regularly.
Contract Type Permanent / Full Time
Salary Up to £29,942.50 per annum, plus great company benefits.
IRT Surveys have been surveying the built environment with infrared cameras for 21 years with more than 560 customers and assessed over 350,000 buildings using infrared thermography and precise energy software. We offer informed, impartial advice and cover the whole of the UK.
Mears has made excellent progress in meeting the carbon reduction and sustainability agenda as a business. Mears supports our network of social housing clients with the full end to end process of domestic retrofit from stock modelling, scheme definition, design, securing available external funding to delivery and outcome measurement. Mears is currently working on client and public funded schemes to retrofit over 3000 homes and has aspirations to be the lead in social housing domestic retrofit.
About The Role You will be responsible for analysing client data and may support with Thermal Image Analysis as required. The Data Analyst will work closely with other members of the team to provide accurate and reliable data to support decision‑making and property refurbishment activities.
Role Responsibilities
Understanding of the DREam software
Cleanse and transform client data
Analyse, process and upload client data to DREam software database
Review and make relevant changes to data in line with EPC Standard Assessment Procedure
Learn relevant retrofit funding schemes
Deliver initial data meetings, data review meetings and training for client stakeholders
Feedback into lead analyst on project status, workload, data trends, issues and anomalies
Analyse thermal images and identify potential issues in various building structures (ad‑hoc)
Review and interpret thermal imaging data to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies (ad‑hoc)
Work collaboratively with other team members to determine the root cause of issues
Generate detailed reports on findings and present results to clients and team members
Maintain accurate records of analysis and ensure data is stored securely
Key Criteria
Experience and competence in using Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in using Office 365
Ability to interpret technical documents and plans
Willing to keep up to date with the latest industry developments and technologies
