This company is seeking an experienced 1st Line or developing 2nd Line IT Support Engineer who is proactive, customer-focused, and keen to progress their career. The role combines helpdesk-based support with regular on-site client work, offering variety and hands-on technical exposure.
The successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for IT issues, delivering clear, friendly, and effective technical support while developing their skills across a wide range of technologies.
This role offers excellent progression opportunities into 2nd Line, 3rd Line, project, or specialist roles as the organisation continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for IT support via phone, email, and ticketing system.
Log, prioritise, and resolve support tickets in line with SLAs.
Troubleshoot 1st line (and some 2nd line) issues across hardware, Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and basic networking.
Escalate complex issues with clear documentation where required.
Provide on-site support including device setup, installations, and fault resolution.
Deliver excellent customer service, explaining technical issues in clear language.
Follow internal processes, security standards, and data protection requirements.
Contribute to service improvements and support sustainability initiatives.
Candidate Profile
Previous experience in a 1st Line IT Support role (or equivalent), or a junior 2nd Line role.
Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, Windows, and Microsoft 365.
Basic understanding of networking concepts.
Confident communicator with a customer-first approach.
Motivated to learn, develop, and take on increasing responsibility.
Full UK driving licence.
