Due to our continued growth and success we are looking for a Van Sales Driver to join our team in Coedpoeth (LL11 3RD). The hours of work for this role are Monday to Saturday 04:00hrs to 11:30hrs with a rostered day off in the week.

- Due to our continued growth and success we are looking for a Vans Sales Driver to join our Supply Chain team in Coedpoeth (LL11 3RD). The hours of work for this role are Monday to Saturday (04:00hrs to 11:30hrs) with a rostered day off (one week you will work 5 days and the next week it'll be 6).

What would you be doing? Our Vision as a business is to be the “Go-to” supplier of bakery products, working nationally with retailers such as M&S and Waitrose on their premium private label range and regionally through the Village Bakery brand. In achieving this vision, we want to be recognised as a family business that continually invests in the future through the development of our people, quality and food safety culture, equipment and processes.
As a member of the Supply Chain team you will be directly contributing to this vision through your core tasks and responsibilities these will include, but are not limited to:
Ensuring the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of customer orders while maintaining vehicle compliance, representing the company professionally and supporting in-store availability checks.
Operating across a broad spectrum of trade channels, seek to maximise total sales, through delivery location leadership influence across the Village Bakery range of product groups.
To contribute to business development and customer growth through gap filling initiatives, cross-functional teamwork, new product sales merchandising and canvassing for new business.
Knowledge Requirements The successful candidate for this role will need to demonstrate the following skills, qualifications and attributes:
Full, clean UK driving licence and a strong understanding of legal driving requirements (DVLA)
Commitment to vehicle safety and compliance: completing daily vehicle checks, reporting defects, and ensuring the vehicle is roadworthy and legally compliant
Proven ability to pick, check, and load orders accurately, maintaining product integrity and minimising errors/damage
Ability to complete multi-drop deliveries on time, obtain Proof of Delivery (POD), and follow delivery procedures accurately
Strong customer service skills: professional, friendly, and able to build positive relationships and resolve minor queries on site
Comfortable completing administrative duties (e.g., paperwork/PODs and placing orders on return to the bakery)
High standards of presentation and professionalism, including maintaining a clean vehicle (inside/out) and wearing clean uniform/workwear boots
Able to follow Health & Safety rules and guidelines at all times, including safe manual handling and site safety requirements
Organised and reliable with good communication skills, able to relay stock gaps/availability issues to the team and support basic merchandising where required
Flexible approach to working hours, including early starts and weekend working
Basic selling skills or confidence identifying opportunities to support sales/service on site (training will be provided)
Experience with stock availability checks, merchandising, or reporting stock gaps and customer feedback to internal teams
Strong personal qualities that support the role: proactivity, tenacity, consistently high work standards, and a desire to go the extra mile for customers
