 ABOUT THE ROLEThe Identification Administrator is responsible for verifying, research, identification and matching activities of usage data from various Foreign Societies using SOCAN's systems.  They are responsible for ensuring accuracy of matched data and thorough research to identify our members repertoire using SOCAN's systems in order to maximize royalties and accuracy of payment to our members in a timely manner.  
WHAT YOU'LL DO / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Verification of data received for completeness and accuracy
Research member repertoire for songs/cues on SOCAN's internal databases
Identify and link unmatched usage/performances to songs/cues registered in SOCAN's internal databases
Review and verification of matched usage/performances for accuracy of payment and make necessary corrections of any incorrect matched usage
Review and make necessary corrections of matched usage with pending status to help improve learned match and accuracy of payment for future distributions
Liaising with Queries team, as required, to resolve complex queries from members and/or foreign societies
Proactively advise Team Lead of any potential efficiency and process improvements
Other duties, as required
WHAT YOU WILL BRING / QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma/equivalent or work-related experience
Knowledge or experience in the Music Industry or Performing Rights is an asset
Knowledge of copyright or writer/publisher song splits
Computer literacy required: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite,
Excel/Word
Excellent organizational and research skills
Fluent in both English and French an asset
