Phasor Engineering currently has an opening for a Civil/Structural Drafter/Designer position for either its Burnaby BC or Calgary AB offices. This is a staff position, and we offer excellent benefits and a competitive salary package.

Responsibilities:

• Core competency in AutoCAD Civil 3D software to develop civil drawings, including:
• Plans, sections, details and general notes.
• Civil site preparations, grading, drainage systems, access roads and fence drawings
• Familiar with Survey and Geospatial Data, topographic data, DEMs and GIS information
• Creating accurate base maps and terrain models
• Coordinate with the drafting and engineering team and other discipline members to ensure  
• Additional competency in AutoCAD and/or Microstation software to develop structural drawings, including:
• Experience with Steel,  or concrete and wood materials.
• Structure plans, sections, details and general notes.
• Foundation layout plans, sections, details and general notes.

Qualifications:

• Technology Degree in Civil Engineering or Equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 4 years of practical experience in Civil/Structural Roles.
• Proficient working with minimal supervision, preferably with a certificate in drafting from an accredited institution.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, specifically working with model and paper space, managing xrefs and creating viewports to scale
• Ability to read Civil, Structural and Electrical drawings
• Working in both metric and imperial units
• High attention to detail, highly organized, and the ability to handle multiple tasks
• Excellent English communication skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat

Assets:

• Experience with electrical utilities especially (ATCO, Altalink, BC Hydro etc.).
• Experience with multiple Civil/Structural software packages in Autodesk and/or Bentley.
• Knowledge of Raster editing.
• Structural steel detailing/design experience.
• Registration and Designation with ASTTBC and/or ASET.
• Experience working on US projects

The salary range for this role is $75,000 to $95,000. Salary variations depend on factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and current market conditions specific to the role.
