Position Overview
Position requires a motivated
Entry-Level Data Engineer
to join our Professional Services team and support both
pre-sales
and
post-sales
activities for our construction technology solutions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving data problems, translating business needs into technical requirements, and working directly with customers to ensure successful solution adoption.

The role will assist with scoping new opportunities, designing data workflows, preparing demonstrations, delivering implementations, and supporting customers as they onboard to our platform ecosystem (e.g., Autodesk Construction Cloud, NetSuite, , custom integrations, and analytics tooling).

Required Qualifications
Technical Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field - or equivalent experience
  • Strong foundational knowledge of data structures, relational databases, and basic ETL concepts
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or another scripting language
  • Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker)

Business and Industry Knowledge

  • Develop and maintain fundamental understanding of business operations within AEC&O industries
  • Excellent communication skills, especially the ability to explain data concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams
  • Willingness to learn construction industry workflows, field-to-office data flow, and project delivery processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or similar construction/ERP systems
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake)
  • Understanding of APIs and basic experience working with RESTful endpoints
  • Background or internship experience in construction technology, VDC, or field operations
  • Prior experience in customer-facing or technical consulting roles
  • Understand how organizations deliver value to their customers through technology-enabled processes
  • Exhibit superior organizational and time management abilities with proven capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Display proactive attitude and strong self-motivation in achieving objectives
  • Show flexibility and willingness to take on additional duties as needed to support customer, Autodesk, and ARKANCE US requirements

Essential Functions
Customer-Facing Services (65%-80% Billable Time)

  • Configure and deliver customer data pipelines using tools like ACC APIs, ETL platforms, scripting, and cloud-based data workflows
  • Support implementation projects by transforming, mapping, and validating customer data for ingestion into platforms (ACC, NetSuite, etc.)
  • Build dashboards, reports, and KPIs using tools such as Power BI (or customer-specific BI platforms)
  • Participate in customer onboarding workshops and training sessions, helping teams understand new workflows and data structures
  • Troubleshoot data issues, integration failures, and discrepancies during projects
  • Provide consultation to customers on their data infrastructure to instill best practices and ensure long-term success
  • Maintain consistent tracking of customer hours and communicate with Project Manager

Sales Support Activities (10%-25% Pre-Sales Time)

  • Participate in discovery calls to understand customer pain points, data structures, and integration needs
  • Assist Sales and Professional Services in scoping technical solutions, integration requirements, and estimated level of effort
  • Build and refine demo environments, sample datasets, and analytics dashboards to support pre-sales presentations
  • Translate high-level customer goals into clear technical documentation for Statements of Work (SOWs)
  • Provide technical insight during proposal presentations when needed

Administrative and Development Activities (5%-10% Overhead Time)

  • Work cross-functionally with sales and technical specialists/consultants to ensure customer success and identify enhancement opportunities
  • Complete mandatory weekly digital timesheet accounting
  • Maintain accurate hours tracking, documentation, and deliverables per project scope
  • Engage in consistent and open communication with project-assigned PM regarding project probability of success and/or failure
  • Individual targets may vary based on assignments and initiatives tasked to the team members.

Physical Requirements

  • Requires prolonged period of sitting, with occasional standing
  • Continuous use of computers and other office equipment
  • Occasionally required to lift, carry, push or pulling and/or move up to 10-25 lbs.

Pay range for this position:
$90k-120k
