Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible FULL TIME CDL BUS DRIVER to join our transportation team. This role involves safely transporting passengers, including children and seniors, across various routes while ensuring a high standard of customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and experience with diverse passenger groups. Bilingual abilities and experience with behavior management or childcare are highly valued to enhance passenger safety and comfort.

Duties

• Safely operate buses for school, senior care, or community transportation services in accordance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Transport passengers efficiently across designated routes, adhering to scheduled pick-up and drop-off times.
• Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, providing support as needed, especially for children or seniors requiring additional assistance.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and proper functioning of the bus.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic mechanical checks of the bus to ensure optimal operation.
• Communicate effectively with passengers, dispatchers, and team members to coordinate routes and address any issues promptly.
• Manage behavior on board through effective behavior management techniques to ensure a safe environment for all passengers.
• Keep accurate records of trips, passenger counts, and any incidents that occur during shifts.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for passenger transport. MUST HAVE SCHOOL BUS ENDORSEMENT
• Proven experience in bus driving, including school bus driving or paratransit services preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse communities.
• Experience working with children or seniors is highly desirable.
• Mechanical knowledge of vehicle operation and basic troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
• Ability to handle behavior management effectively in diverse passenger settings.
• Knowledge of safety protocols, traffic laws, and transportation regulations.

Pay: $ $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
