Position Overview: The Executive Assistant (EA) provides high-level, strategic, and administrative support to the Executive Vice President of Social Enterprise & Strategy (EVP). The EA plays a critical role in ensuring organizational coordination, supporting social enterprise initiatives, managing complex schedules, and maintaining seamless communication across internal teams, external partners, and national stakeholders. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, high emotional intelligence, impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment. The EA must be able to anticipate needs, solve problems proactively, and represent Future Plans with professionalism and discretion.

Please note that priority in will be given to candidates who live in Ohio, Kentucky, South Carolina, Indiana and Georgia.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Support

  • Manage the EVP's complex and dynamic calendar, including scheduling internal and external meetings, prioritizing requests, and resolving conflicts efficiently.
  • Prepare the EVP for meetings by assembling briefing materials, agendas, background documents, summaries, and follow-up actions.
  • Handle email triage, flag urgent items, and draft professional correspondence on behalf of the EVP.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when managing sensitive information.

Project & Social Enterprise Support

  • Track progress across multiple social enterprise projects and assist in coordinating deliverables, deadlines, and cross-team communication.
  • Support the development of project documents, MOUs, partnership agreements, slide decks, and grant-related materials.
  • Assist in managing relationships with partners, collaborators, and stakeholders, ensuring timely communication and follow-up.
  • Maintain organized digital files for social enterprise activities, research, agreements, and project documentation.

Meeting Coordination & Communication

  • Scheduleand support in-person and virtual meetings, including board-level, national partner, and community stakeholder meetings.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, capture notes and decisions, and manage follow-up tasks.
  • Draft, proofread, and refine written communications, including memos, reports, and presentations.

Operational & Administrative Support

  • Coordinate travel arrangements, itineraries, lodging, and logistics for conferences, summits, and partner visits.
  • Assist in organizing events related to social enterprise initiatives, including site visits, convenings, and workforce development programs.
  • Support budgeting and expense tracking related to the EVP's division.
  • Ensure alignment and communication across departments (marketing, development, operations, finance) when tasks intersect with EVP-led initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3–5 years experience supporting a senior executive, managing complex scheduling, or working in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to anticipate needs and take initiative.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Zoom, and cloud-based file management.

Preferred

  • Experience in nonprofit, philanthropy, economic development, workforce development, education, or social impact sectors.
  • Experience developing documents, MOUs, and presentations.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and adjusting to evolving priorities.
  • Ability to analyze information, conduct research, and synthesize insights.

Work Location & Schedule

  • Primarily remote with required travel for convenings, meetings, or on-site support at Dragonfly Village , at company meetings, or partner locations.
  • Must be available for occasional early mornings, evenings, or short-turnaround deliverables related to national partnerships and funders.
