Job Summary
We're seeking a dedicated and skilled Baker to join our production team. This role focuses on all aspects of bagel baking—from mixing and shaping to boiling and baking—while maintaining high standards of quality and consistency. It's a great fit for someone who loves working with their hands, takes pride in precision and craft, and thrives in an early-morning, fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

Baking & Production

  • Execute daily bagel production for both the retail shop and farmers' markets, including mixing, dividing, shaping, boiling, and baking.
  • Follow established recipes and techniques to ensure consistent quality and appearance of all bagels and baked goods.
  • Prepare bakery items, spreads, and other supporting products as needed.
  • Monitor ingredient levels and communicate restocking needs to management.
  • Clean dishes and equipment, and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Assist with back-of-house opening and closing procedures.

Teamwork & Operations

  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to support smooth daily operations.
  • Communicate effectively about timing, production needs, and any issues that arise during the baking process.
  • Adapt to shifting priorities based on daily volume and business needs.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous baking or kitchen production experience—artisan bread or bagel experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to craft and consistency.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working early mornings.
  • A positive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A genuine love for great food and pride in producing it.

Schedule

  • Early morning availability is required (shifts start as early as 3am).
  • Weekend availability required.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
