Overview
The Finance Manager will build on and manage effective, streamlined financial systems to support organizational operations and growth. The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, coordination and oversight of billing, and preparation of biweekly payroll runs. The Finance Manager will serve as a resource to help reduce costs, enhance revenue, and achieve effective utilization of company resources.
Responsibilities
- Provide financial oversight and monitoring including development and implementation of sound fiscal management practices and internal controls.
- Manage and oversee monthly bookkeeping, in partnership with contracted accounting organization.
- Manage the organization's cash flow, financial trend analysis and forecasting.
- Oversee the general ledger and related activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions and compliance with internal policies.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy with GL coding.
- Review invoices for proper authorization and coding.
- Develop improved strategies for the effective and efficient management of AP/AR.
- Manage the bi-weekly disbursement of payroll, including garnishments, benefits, and taxes consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws.
- Review accuracy of payroll information by directing the collection, calculation and entering of data.
- Manage updates to payroll records by verifying and approving changes.
- Prepare financial documents such as business reports, financial forecasts, and statements.
- Support the preparation and filing of reports and statements required to be submitted to external agencies.
- Analyze and present financial reports to the Senior Leadership Team and Board of Directors.
- Monitor progress and keep the Senior Leadership Team regularly updated of the organization's financial status.
- Support the overall goals and objectives of Enriched Living through additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience
- Degree in business, accounting, public administration, or a related field required.
- Five years' experience performing financial and variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, and preparing financial reports.
- Advanced proficiency working with Excel.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment of a growing organization.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sense of ethics and integrity.
- Ability to work collaboratively, as well as independently with minimal instruction and guidance.
- Position requires successful completion of Department of Human Services background check and I-9 verification.
- Experience using MN-ITS preferred.
Preferred:
- Knowledge and experience with Medicaid billing and Minnesota Department of Health/Human Services financial rules and regulations.
- Knowledge and experience in billing private health insurance entities
Working Conditions:
This position will work out of the main office for Enriched Living. Much of the time will be spent in the office working on a computer for hours at a time, occasionally interrupted with team meetings. Occasionally travel may be required to attend different training/conferences, meet employees at a different location, etc.
