Job Title: Data Access Management (DAM) Consultant – DSPM )

Background:
The Data Access Management (DAM) program is building an enterprise-wide service to enable
data discovery, classification, ownership, and access management
. This initiative ensures data governance, privacy compliance, and operational efficiency across the organization.
We are seeking a
Data Access Operations Analyst
to support the operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the DAM service—particularly leveraging the
DSPM platform
.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor health checks and availability of the DAM tool ) and associated integrations.
- Assess, analyze, and troubleshoot
L1/L2 incidents and service tickets
related to DAM operations. - Collaborate with the DAM Engineering team for escalations, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
- Manage exceptions to standard data access policies, including emergency access requests.
- Support onboarding of new data sources into the DAM platform and integrations.
- Analyze and interpret
data discovery results
, identifying potential access policy violations or gaps. - Track and triage data access findings from the DAM solution, engaging relevant stakeholders for remediation.
- Execute and manage
Data Access Certification
processes, ensuring periodic reviews of access to sensitive data. - Remediate certification recommendations by following defined workflows and compliance standards.
- Provide evidence and documentation support for
audit and compliance reviews
. - Contribute to data ownership identification and maintenance efforts.
- Identify and analyze trends or patterns in data access incidents to drive process improvements.
- Prepare periodic reports and dashboards summarizing incidents, KPIs, and operational health.
- Ensure adherence to
IAM operations SLAs
, policies, and governance standards. - Promote teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence through effective communication and use of available tools.
- Provide feedback to enhance DAM operational processes, automation, and service efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
in Computer Science, Engineering, Informatics, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - 2–3 years of hands-on experience
supporting Data Access Management or Data Security platforms such as
BigID, Varonis, , OneTrust, or Collibra
. - 3–4 years of experience
in ITSM / Technical Support operations (incident, problem, and change management). - Good understanding of
data access policies
,
data classification
, and
access remediation processes
. - Familiarity with
unstructured data sources
(e.g., File Shares, SharePoint, OneDrive). - Strong
analytical and problem-solving skills
with the ability to assess data-related risks. - Excellent
communication skills
—both verbal and written—with experience working across teams and geographies. - Demonstrated
stakeholder management
and cross-functional collaboration abilities. - High attention to detail, strong sense of urgency, and ability to manage sensitive and confidential data.
- Experience in the
financial or insurance sector
is an asset. - Comfortable working in a
dynamic and evolving environment
.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
- Experience with
DSPM (Data Security Posture Management)
platforms or similar solutions. - Knowledge of
Identity and Access Management (IAM)
frameworks and standards. - Familiarity with
regulatory compliance
requirements (e.g., GDPR, PIPEDA, or SOX).
