Resident Assistant

As a Resident Assistant, you will be essential in providing compassionate care and support to residents in a long-term care setting. Your role involves assisting with daily living activities, ensuring residents' comfort, and promoting their well-being. With core skills in caregiving and home care, along with premium skills in first aid and memory care, you will create a safe and nurturing environment. Your relevant skills in meal preparation and behavior management will enhance the quality of life for residents, making a meaningful impact in their daily experiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents' quality of life.
• Monitor residents' health and well-being, reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
• Ensure a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Facilitate social activities and encourage resident participation to promote engagement and community.

Qualifications

• Experience in long-term care and personal care home settings is preferred.
• Proficient in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Knowledge of resident's rights and senior care best practices
• Experience with Alzheimer's and memory care is preferred.
• Strong communication and caregiving skills
• Familiarity with cleaning and meal preparation in care environments

The Setting is a Small Assisted Living Group Home. We are hiring for all positions. Positions are Day Shift 6am-200pm, Pm Shifts 2-10pm, and Overnights 10pm-6am. Full time and part-time positions are available, scheduling is flexible. Must have reliable transportation as campus is not located on a bus line.
