About the Opportunity

Chubby Cattle Cerritos LLC is seeking friendly, professional, and well-organized Hosts/Hostesses to join our team As the first point of contact for our guests, the Host plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and organized dining experience.

Our Cerritos location specializes in All-You-Can-Eat Japanese BBQ (Yakiniku) and offers a fast-paced, interactive dining environment with premium meats and exceptional service.

Please note: This position is hired and employed directly by Chubby Cattle Cerritos LLC only.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly with warmth and professionalism
• Manage waitlists and reservation systems (via phone, groupchat like wechat/discord or platforms like Yelp/OpenTable)
• Communicate estimated wait times and manage table assignments efficiently
• Answer guest questions about the menu, seating process, and promotions
• Coordinate guest seating to ensure smooth table turnover and even server coverage
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the host stand and lobby area
• Collaborate closely with managers, servers, and bussers to ensure smooth operations
• Follow all COVID-19 safety, sanitation, and health guidelines as required in California

Qualifications

• Prior host or customer service experience preferred but not required
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
