Material Handler

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring that materials are handled safely and effectively. This position involves various tasks related to shipping, receiving, and storing products, while adhering to safety regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and clamp trucks to move materials within the warehouse.
• Load and unload shipments accurately and efficiently.
• Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems for inventory tracking and order picking.
• Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed to maintain safety.
• Assist in shipping and receiving operations, including verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience in warehouse distribution or materials handling is preferred.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including cranes and forklifts.
• Knowledge of shipping & receiving processes and order picking techniques.
• Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
• Strong mechanical knowledge for basic equipment maintenance is advantageous.
• Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor is beneficial but not required.
• Understanding of OSHA regulations related to warehouse safety practices.
• High School Diploma or GED

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: In person
