Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time | Onsite - Various locations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario
Anticipated Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Hourly:$35.00 per hour + benefits according to Union Provincial Collective Agreement (full-time position)

Pay Schedule: Paid weekly, every Friday    

Reports To: Roofing Site Supervisor/Site Foreman

As we continue to grow, we're looking for an Apprentice Roofer to join our field Roofing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and wants to contribute to meaningful, high-impact projects. 

What You'll Do

• Sweep and clean roofs to prepare them for the application of new roofing materials
•  Provide assistance to skilled roofers installing and repairing roofs, flashings, and surfaces
• Remove old roofing materials
• Prepare roofs for re-roofing or new roofing projects
• Assist with the installation, repair and replacement of built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt-saturated felts, hot asphalt and gravel
• Assist with the application of waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level
• Pour hot asphalt and tar
• Clean and maintain equipment
• Set up ladders, scaffolds, and hoists in place for taking supplies to roofs

• Hand-eye co-ordination
• Physically demanding; Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads; Large workload
• Repetitive tasks, overtime required, work under pressure, fast-paced environment.

• Modified roofing system
• Rigid pre-formed roofing system
• Single ply sheet membrane roofing system
  

Job Requirements: Minimum 1 year of experience in commercial flat roofing
