Your Opportunity
Stantec is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer to join our Geotechnical Engineering team in Burnaby, BC. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an award-winning group, where you will apply your expertise to deliver impactful projects that help shape and connect communities across British Columbia and Western Canada.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to both interdisciplinary and geotechnical-specific project teams by delivering sound and reliable geotechnical engineering recommendations and demonstrate your ability to bring innovation to our field of practice
- Develop, promote, and maintain relationships with internal and external clients, as the primary point of contact
- Manage geotechnical projects of varying scope and complexity
- Lead proposals, make informed engineering decisions, and oversee the successful delivery of projects
- Collaborate with senior engineers to deliver technical services in both field and office settings
- Provide strategic mentorship and coaching to support the growth and development of emerging engineering professionals
- Communicate effectively with clients, geotechnical and project team members and Stantec colleagues from across North America
- Promote strong workplace health and safety practices
- Represent Stantec in the community, with local geotechnical societies, and University settings to enhance brand awareness
- Contribute to the development of technical papers, participate in conference proceedings, and engage actively in committees and technical working groups
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
