Host/Hostess

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will excel in guest relations, possess excellent communication skills, and have prior experience in food service or hospitality settings. This role is essential in ensuring smooth seating arrangements, managing guest flow, and providing exceptional customer service to enhance the overall dining experience. The Host/Host will serve as the first point of contact for our guests, embodying the hospitality standards of our establishment.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus promptly
• Handle reservations and seating arrangements using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand area
• Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service
• Manage guest inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette
• Assist with guest inquiries, special requests, and seating preferences
• Support guest relations by providing attentive service and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit
• Assist in maintaining health and safety standards in the host area

Experience

• Prior experience as a Host/Host is preferred, especially within food service or restaurant environments
• Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Background in hospitality, hotel services, or guest services is a plus
• Strong communication skills, including clear phone etiquette and guest interaction skills
• Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and courtesy
• Experience in serving or restaurant operations is beneficial but not required
