Interstate is seeking a
Business Development Manager in the Technology vertical
to join our team In this role, you would lead capture and opportunity pipeline development activities for Interstate and provide full life cycle management and support of the proposal response in collaboration with logistics business unit leaders and their teams. You would drive growth for the company specifically within the data center/technology vertical with a focus on the DMV territory, selling our service solutions to companies to include relocation, storage, and logistics.
This position includes a base salary and uncapped commissions structure.
Hybrid work environment with travel required to customer sites in the DMV after 30 days of on-site training.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform market and competitive analyses in targeted geographies, markets, and industries to identify new business development opportunities.
- Register new business development opportunities in the company's CRM.
- Produce and present client management (e.g., client and/or company activity) reports on a periodic basis, with an interpretation of findings and recommendations for future action.
- Manage the full life cycle of the proposal response process, from identification and analysis of RFPs to final production and submission of proposals.
- Create, manage and maintain a companywide proposal library, to include previous RFPs, RFP submissions and proposals.
- Collaborate on the development of engaging and informative business development content, ensuring consistent tone, voice, perspective and alignment with brand guidelines and standards.
- All other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- At least four (4) years of B2B business development experience (with a preference to transportation, relocation, and logistics).
- Must be a subject-matter expert selling into the technology/data center vertical.
- Exceptional people interaction skills and a "service" mentality toward internal and external customers.
- Self-motivated and possess a thorough understanding of winning strategies.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe, sales force automation (MS CRM preferred).
- ZoomInfo and HubSpot experience highly preferred.
- Ability to travel.
