Through play-based, relationship-driven services, we support children across sensory, motor, communication, feeding, and developmental needs.
Led by Founder and CEO Lindsey Wood, MOT, OTR/L, Eat. Play. Love OT is expanding our interdisciplinary model and building a dynamic speech-language program. We are known for our innovative approach, supportive team culture, and commitment to empowering both families and clinicians.

Program Director – Speech-Language Pathologist
to help shape and grow this exciting next chapter.
Role Description
Eat. Play. Love OT is hiring a
Program Director – SLP
who is passionate about pediatrics, collaboration, and building a program with purpose. This role blends direct clinical work with leadership responsibilities, offering the opportunity to guide the development of our speech-language services while receiving strong administrative and operational support.
This position can be part-time or full-time, depending on the candidate's availability and caseload interest.
You will play an integral role in building the SLP department — shaping service offerings, supporting hiring and onboarding as we grow, and collaborating closely with our OT team to deliver exceptional care.
Responsibilities
Clinical:
- Provide speech and language evaluations and therapy to children ages 0–12
- Develop individualized and family-centered treatment plans
- Collaborate with OTs, parents, teachers, and community partners
- Document progress and maintain clinical best practices
Leadership & Program Development
- Help design and expand the Eat. Play. Love OT speech-language program
- Support hiring, onboarding, and mentoring of future SLPs/SLPAs
- Contribute to workflow development, quality standards, and clinical protocols
- Collaborate with the CEO on program strategy, service models, and growth
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborative planning
Optional Opportunities
- Lead small groups or parent workshops
- Co-treat with OTs for integrated services
- Help design community programs or specialty classes
Qualifications
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in California
- ASHA CCC-SLP preferred
- Pediatric experience required (clinic, EI, school, outpatient, or combination)
- Interest in leadership, collaboration, and program development
- Strong communication skills and comfort with caregiver coaching
- Ability to self-manage schedule with flexibility and organization
- Passion for neurodiversity-affirming, child-led practices
- Creative, positive, and eager to grow within a supportive team
