Job Summary
The Production Operator is responsible for executing day-to-day manufacturing tasks within the production facility. This role involves operating machinery, performing manual assembly tasks, and ensuring product quality and compliance with operational standards. The position requires adherence to safety protocols, accuracy in following production procedures, and effective communication within the production team. Operators are expected to maintain equipment, monitor workflows, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts to support efficient and consistent production output.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery and equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to meet customer delivery commitments.
- Monitor production lines to ensure consistent quality and efficiency
- Perform quality checks and report any defects or irregularities
- Assemble components or products accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, safe, high-performing work area.
- Support and promote company policy.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate major problems to maintenance
- Accurately complete production reports and documentation
- Follow safety, health, and environmental regulations and company policies
- Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives
- Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic math and reading skills
- Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- May work in shifts, including nights and weekends if required
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality
Preferred:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Familiarity with Continuous Improvement methodologies (Lean Manufacturing, Toyota Production System or Six Sigma)
