Experienced Tax Manager (CPA) Opportunity with ProCFO, LLC

Overview:

ProCFO, LLC is a financial outsourcing firm based in Bend, Oregon, offering a range of services to help businesses manage their financial operations effectively. We are seeking a driven CPA with an interest in tax management who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and advisory services. This role requires strong technical tax expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to deliver proactive, high‑quality service to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance & Review

  • Manage and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and estates.
  • Ensure compliance with deadlines and regulatory requirements.
  • Research complex tax issues and prepare technical memoranda.

Tax Planning & Advisory

  • Provide proactive tax strategies to minimize liabilities.
  • Advise on entity structure, multi‑state issues, and major transactions.
  • Support clients with IRS and state audits.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Supervise, mentor, and train tax staff.
  • Review staff workpapers and deliver constructive feedback.
  • Assist with workflow management and hiring.

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as primary client contact for tax matters.
  • Build strong advisory relationships.
  • Identify opportunities for additional services.

Internal Process & Improvement

  • Improve internal tax processes and technology.
  • Stay current with tax law changes and CPE requirements.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $85,000-$135,000 base salary depending on experience
  • 10% commission of gross revenue on all work completed for referred active clients
  • Employer contribution of 85% to medical insurance
  • Flexible schedule with Monday-Thursday business hours, with downtown Bend office space open to all employees working locally

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Active CPA license
  • 5-7 years of public accounting tax experience
  • Strong understanding of individual and business tax regulations.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Candidates located in Bend, OR preferred, but all candidates will be considered (may need to travel to office in Bend, OR as needed)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85, $135,000.00 per year
