We are a growing Home Health organization committed to providing exceptional care and support to our clients while fostering a supportive and professional workplace for our staff. We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist with a strong background in employee relations and compliance to join our team.
Position Overview
The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing a wide range of human resources functions, with a focus on employee relations, policy enforcement, and compliance within the home health industry. This role requires a proactive professional who can effectively handle sensitive matters, ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines, and support staff with fairness, clarity, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage employee relations, providing guidance and support to employees and managers.
- Enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring consistency across the organization.
- Lead and document disciplinary actions in accordance with regulations and company standards.
- Track and manage incentive programs, performance reviews, and employee recognition initiatives.
- Oversee benefit management, including enrollment, administration, and employee support.
- Conduct employee mediation to resolve workplace conflicts professionally and constructively.
- Maintain knowledge of home health compliance requirements, state, and federal employment laws.
- Partner with leadership to ensure performance management systems are effectively implemented.
- Conduct the first week, monthly, 90-day, and annual check-ins with staff and clients.
- Ensure HR records and files remain organized, accurate, and confidential.
- Support recruitment and onboarding as needed.
- Leading Onboarding/Orientation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in the Home Health or Healthcare industry.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal employment regulations.
- Experience in employee relations, policy enforcement, and disciplinary processes.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism.
- Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work on site and collaborate with staff and leadership daily.
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary $55,000-$62,000
- Bonus Opportunity
- PTO - 10 days after 90 days of employment
- 401k eligible after one year of employment
- Holidays - Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
