For 60 years, TPC Wisconsin, formerly Cherokee Country Club, has served as Madison's only private facility to offer an 18-hole golf course, all-season golf range, indoor and outdoor tennis, pickleball, athletic training facility and outdoor pool. Our Champions Grille and event spaces host casual and fine dining opportunities of intimate proportions, 30 or less, and large celebrations of 200 plus guests. TPC Wisconsin also provides PGA recognized and award-winning golf instruction and fitting programs, structured member events, and social events for the whole family all year long.

The Event Operations Manager executes events while ensuring that all logistical requirements are carried out according to the guest/member expectations. She/He manages the event plans and works closely with other departments to ensure that all operational requirements of the events are fulfilled. The manager will be detailed and resourceful and possess excellent problem-solving skills. They will be able to react quickly and calmly to deviations in event plans, while seamlessly making team adjustments. The position requires a flexible workweek, including weekends, evenings, and holidays while working in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Requirements

· Financial management, ability to understand P & L statements, operate within budgets, forecast and schedule

· Proficient with Office applications and reservation software

· Demonstrate the ability to initiate work (self-starter)

· Presentation and sales experience catering to client needs

· Proficient with corporate event planning and meeting room space management

· General knowledge and experience with audio visual equipment and food and beverage

· Previous supervisory experience, work with seasonal/rotating employees a plus

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and foster a teamwork atmosphere

· Skilled at taking a leadership role and improving an existing program to a higher standard

Results

· High ratings and positive client feedback on social media and industry specific platforms (Google, Yelp, The Knot, Wedding Wire, etc.) in follow up surveys.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $24.00 per hour
