3rd shift Cherry Picker Operator

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable 3rd shift Cherry Picker Operator to join our warehouse team. This role is critical for efficient order fulfillment, inventory management, and materials handling within a fast-paced distribution environment. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks, along with a solid understanding of warehouse safety protocols and systems. This position offers an opportunity to work during overnight hours, supporting our logistics operations and ensuring timely shipping and receiving processes.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate cherry pickers, forklifts, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment to pick, load, and unload materials
• Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems for accurate order picking and inventory control
• Perform order picking tasks with precision to meet shipping deadlines
• Load and unload goods efficiently while adhering to safety standards
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs
• Assist in shipping & receiving activities, including verifying shipments against documentation
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
• Follow OSHA guidelines and company safety policies at all times during operations
• Support warehouse distribution activities by handling materials with mechanical knowledge and proper lifting techniques

Requirements

• Prior experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, or heavy equipment operation preferred
• Proven ability to operate forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and other warehouse machinery safely
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and materials handling tools
• Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or walking during shifts
• Warehouse or construction background is a plus; previous warehouse supervisor experience is advantageous
• Valid certification for forklift or crane operation is preferred but not mandatory
• Ability to work the 3rd shift reliably with a focus on safety, accuracy, and productivity

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
