Overview
We are seeking dedicated and adaptable Substitute Teachers to join our educational team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire and support students across various grade levels and classroom settings. Responsibilities
- Deliver lesson plans provided by the regular teacher or adapt to the classroom needs as necessary
- Manage classroom behavior and foster a positive learning environment
- Implement curriculum development strategies across subjects such as literacy, math, and social studies
- Support students with diverse needs, including children with autism or special education requirements
- Maintain student engagement through effective lesson planning and instructional strategies
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding student progress and classroom activities
- Assist with classroom routines, transitions, and behavior management techniques
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times within the classroom setting
- Adapt to different age groups, including preschool, elementary, or middle school levels
Experience
- Prior classroom experience or childcare background is preferred
- Experience working with children with autism or special education needs is a plus
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including Montessori or preschool methodologies
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and literacy education
- Experience in tutoring or working with students in various academic subjects such as math or reading
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents
- Background in childhood development or experience working in private schools is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior and implement effective classroom management strategies
