À propos
About the Role Mahler Machining is hiring a Material Receiver & Saw Operator to work directly on the shop floor preparing raw material for CNC machining. This is a hands-on manufacturing support role involving regular operation of automated and traditional bandsaws, material handling, and material receiving, with close coordination alongside machinists and production teams. This role reports to the Shop Foreman. We are hiring for attitude and long-term potential. While prior experience is valued, we are equally happy to train motivated candidates seeking an entry-level opportunity in a manufacturing environment. As an AS9100 aerospace-certified manufacturer, Mahler takes material traceability seriously. The Material Receiver & Saw Operator is responsible for maintaining full material traceability by verifying material certifications, recording heat and lot information, and updating our ERP system to support aerospace-grade quality requirements and ensure 100% traceability. This role requires strong coordination with machinists and the purchasing team, making clear communication and teamwork essential. The Material Receiver & Saw Operator plays a vital role in our organization. As a supply chain partner to over 100 Canadian and US OEM customers, we operate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Candidates must be comfortable adapting to changing priorities and working collaboratively with the broader shop team. Approximately two-thirds of the role is focused on material receiving and saw operation. The remaining time is spent supporting production activities on the shop floor, including assisting machinists, finishing, and shipping as needed. In addition to receiving and saw work, this role supports light manufacturing activities such as material movement, basic finishing support, and general shop assistance. Regular forklift operation is required as part of the role with training and certification provided as required. This is an ideal role for someone who wants to be involved in how parts are made, not just moved, and is seeking a stable, long-term career with a growing company. As Mahler continues to expand, there will be opportunities for advancement into shipping, production, or other manufacturing support roles.
