Overview
We are seeking a friendly and skilled Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food and beverage service, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments such as fine dining establishments, nightclubs, or banquet settings. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, engaging with guests, and ensuring an exceptional experience for all patrons. Candidates with knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS, along with strong time management and sales skills, will excel in this position. A background in food safety, food handling, and hospitality is preferred to maintain high standards of service and safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS.
- Engage with guests in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service to enhance their experience.
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations during busy hours while maintaining attention to detail.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards.
- Restock supplies as needed, including garnishes, glassware, and beverages.
- Ensure responsible alcohol service by monitoring guest behavior and adhering to legal drinking age regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff for food orders when applicable, especially during catering or banquet events.
- Assist in setting up for special events such as banquets or private parties.
- Uphold all health and safety regulations related to food handling and beverage service.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender or in a similar food service role; fine dining, nightclub, or banquet experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately; retail math knowledge is beneficial.
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts using strong time management skills.
- Experience with brewing or hospitality industry knowledge is advantageous.
- Previous experience in catering or food industry settings preferred.
