Along with our own branded products, we offer a comprehensive range of licensed giftware. We work with many exciting mainstream brands such as Disney, Harry Potter, Marvel, and DC Comics

We are looking for a talented and driven Product Developer to join our Creative – WeCool team. You will report to the Head of Product Development and work closely with internal cross-functional teams, including Product Design, Project Management, Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Licensing. This is a remote USA role, with periodic travel to our Los Angeles showroom required for collaboration, product reviews, and team sessions

Responsibilities

Innovation & Trends

  • Contribute ideas and commercial concepts in line with trends, brand direction, and licensor expectat
  • ions.Ensure products and packaging are on-trend, commercially viable, and aligned with brand and licensed brand ethos

Market Ressearch

  • Conduct competitor and market analysis independenly
  • Share insights and recommendations relating to both owned and licensed categories

NPD Process Management

  • Manage development and approval workflows across assigned categories, including licensed product ranges
  • Collaborate closely with Creative Managers, Senior PD, Designers, and global teams

Critical Path Management

  • Ensure launch dates are achieved by managing timelines, actions, and risks across both owned and licensed projects

Artwork & Sample Review

  • eReview artwork, packaging, and samples; ensuring alignment with licensor style guides and approval requirements
  • Work with senior team members ahead of internal and licensor sign off.

-Commercial & Customer Awarness

  • Understand consumer needs and work with Senior PD to ensure margins and commercial viability.
  • Gain knowledge of key customers and their requirements, including licensed category opportunity

Systems & Administration

  • Set up products and projects in internal systems
  • .Run reports and maintain data accuracy

Customer Specials

  • Support customer meetings and assist with customer-specific product development

Copywriting

  • Produce accurate and engaging copy for products, packaging, and presentations—aligned with licensed brand tone of voice when required.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience in product development, preferably within consumer goods, toys, crafts, lifestyle, or comparable categories.
  • Experience working with licensed products and licensor approval processes.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to translate trends into viable product concepts.
  • Excellent project management, planning, and time-management skills.
  • Clear communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail and pride in delivering quality work.
  • Experience with Far East manufacturing is beneficial.7Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outook/
