BITS is a growing software development company in Washington DC area. We provide database solutions, application development, infrastructure supports, network engineering, and high-end computing using innovative technologies to the health agencies. We are looking for a Software Developer for one of our FEDERAL projects.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Developer with a strong foundation in system design, integration, implementation, and sustainment. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in managing and optimizing complex IT infrastructures, with a deep understanding of operating systems, networking, middleware, applications, databases, and security.

Role focus: Build and maintain applications, automation, and integrations in the M365 environment

Ideal background

● 5–8+ years as a M365 / SharePoint / Power Platform / .NET developer.

● Strong portfolio of Power Apps, Power Automate flows, and Power BI reports in enterprise environments.

Key technical skills

● Developing PowerApps models and custom solutions integrating SharePoint lists and external systems.
● Customizing SharePoint (content types, lists, SPFx where needed) and building modern collaboration solutions.
● Writing .NET (C#, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework), JavaScript, HTML, CSS where heavier customizations are needed.
● Creating robust PowerShell scripts to automate tenant admin, provisioning, and reporting.
● Experience with Copilot for Power Apps / Power Automate and AI Builder to accelerate development and analytics.

Soft skills

● Works well with business users to turn requirements into user‑friendly apps.
● Comfortable presenting demos in orientation, POCs, and pilot sessions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $140, $150,000.00 per year
