Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, personable, and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about patient care, thrives in a team environment, and maintains the highest standards of professionalism and cleanliness. This role supports our dentists in delivering exceptional clinical care while ensuring a smooth and positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and set up treatment rooms and instruments according to established protocols.
  • Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, preventive, and surgical treatments.
  • Take high-quality digital X-rays and intraoral photos.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and charting as directed by the dentist.
  • Sterilize instruments, disinfect treatment areas, and follow OSHA and infection control protocols.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative instructions, and treatment steps.
  • Manage dental materials, supplies, and inventory; report low stock levels.
  • Support front desk staff as needed with scheduling, patient communication, and check-in/out.
  • Provide a warm, welcoming experience for all patients to reflect the values of Fair Lakes Family Dentistry.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program preferred.
  • Radiography certification
  • Current CPR certification.
  • 2-3 years of Dental Assisting experience preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Professional, courteous, and dedicated to delivering excellent patient care.
  • Familiarity with open dental is a plus.

Pay: $ $20.00 per hour
