Head Cook/Kitchen Manager

Twisted Anchor is located in Wilmington, IL on the property of Harborside Marina. If you enjoy cooking but also enjoy being around the water & enjoying some perks that the marina has to offer, this position may fit you well. We are a BBQ Restaurant & Bar but have customers come in for sit down meals as well. Some of our main dinner dishes include hand cut Ribeye Steaks, Tomahawk Pork Chops, Grilled Salmon & more. We grind our own brisket for burgers, make our own sausages & smoke all of our own meat. We also pride ourselves on working with local wineries, local breweries & local distilleries to offer a unique experience in the Wilmington area.

We are seeking a skilled Head Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, handling, and working in a restaurant or culinary environment. If you are passionate about cooking and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen setting, we want to hear from you.

*Responsibilities*

• Prepare and cook menu items in compliance with established recipes and standards

• Ensure the quality of food meets the highest standards

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace

• Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries

• Collaborate with the kitchen team to provide excellent dining experiences

• Follow proper food safety procedures and guidelines

*Experience*

• Previous experience in a kitchen environment is required.

• Knowledge of food safety practices

• Familiarity with fine dining or culinary techniques is a plus

• Ability to work well under pressure and in a team setting
