We are seeking a professional and highly motivated Hospital Security Shift Supervisor to oversee security operations during assigned shifts. This leadership role requires someone who is active, engaged, customer-focused, and confident in guiding a team in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Supervise and support Security Officers throughout the hospital
Maintain a strong, professional, and friendly presence for patients, visitors, and staff
Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure safety, policy compliance, and operational readiness
Respond to incidents, emergencies, and service requests promptly and with sound judgment
Monitor access control points and overall facility security activity
Review officer reports, complete shift summaries, and ensure accurate documentation
Communicate effectively with hospital leadership, nursing staff, and law enforcement
Train, coach, and mentor officers to uphold company and hospital standards
Meets South Carolina state licensing requirements for security officers (or willing to obtain)
Prior security, military, law enforcement, or supervisory experience preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
Friendly, engaging personality and commitment to excellent customer service
Ability to stay calm, professional, and organized in fast-paced situations
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow and enforce procedures
Willing and able to work 8-hour or 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
This is an active supervisory role. Successful candidates should be able to:
Walk and stand for extended periods while overseeing patrols and operations
Navigate large facilities, including stairwells, long corridors, and multiple departments
Respond quickly to incidents and assist officers during urgent situations
Previous supervisory or team lead experience
Experience in healthcare, hospital security, or high-activity environments
Strong report writing and communication skills
Bilingual abilities
