REQUIREMENTS
- Required qualifications: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia (ACVAA), or residency trained in Anesthesiology.
- Preferred qualifications: Ph.D.
- Five (5) years of clinical and/or teaching experience in veterinary medicine.
- Demonstrate excellence in teaching and research in specialty area.
- Tracked record of scholarly activity, including publications and successful grant applications.
- Commitment to student-centered education and innovative teaching practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Experience in curriculum development and innovative teaching methodologies.
- Dedication to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to engage in interdisciplinary research and collaboration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
DESCRIPTION
- Develop and deliver high-quality lectures, laboratories, and seminars.
- Mentor and advise veterinary students, guiding their academic and professional development.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to design and implement an integrated, competency-based curriculum.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the curriculum through active participation in departmental and college-wide committees.
- Comply with the policies, manuals, academic procedures, and executive orders that apply to the teaching staff of the program.
- Comply with the actions established in the licensing and accreditation plan according to the academic offering of the academic program.
- Establish and maintain a productive research program that contributes to the advancement of knowledge in your field. Publish research findings in reputable, peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate actively in departmental, college, and university service activities, including committee work and student advising.
