You Are
UST is looking for a Hardware Validation Engineer to design, execute, and lead validation efforts for cutting-edge datacenter platforms featuring GPU/CPU modules and complex peripheral integration. The role demands strong technical acumen, hands-on lab expertise, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure product reliability and performance.

The Opportunity

  • Design and execute comprehensive validation plans for GPU/CPU modules and peripheral cards integrated into datacenter platforms
  • Lead debugging, triage complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and verify fixes
  • Conduct electrical, functional, and stress testing on interfaces like I2C, SPI, SMBUS, PCIe, USB, and power control loops
  • Drive validation across product lifecycle stages—from initial bring-up to production release
  • Partner cross-functionally to solve HW/SW challenges
  • Develop and implement diagnostic suite test plans for engineering builds
  • Participate in schematic and PCB layout reviews for future designs

What You Need

  • Foundational experience in hardware/software validation environments
  • Solid grasp of digital and circuit design, CPU/GPU architecture, and computer systems
  • Hands-on expertise with lab tools: oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers
  • Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages (Shell, Perl)
  • Familiarity with ARM CPU architecture and its validation practices
  • Strong analytical skills and a proactive problem-solving approach
  • Desired Skills:
  • Prior validation experience with CPU/GPU/SOC hardware
  • Understanding of control systems, PID tuning, and power transistor fundamentals
  • Experience with test automation and scripting for validation optimization
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (BSEE/BSCE) or equivalent experience

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Compensation Range
: $70,000-$105,000

Benefits
Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching.
