Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to oversee daily operations at our retail location. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. This role involves managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining inventory accuracy, and driving sales growth to meet business objectives. The Store Manager will play a pivotal role in creating a positive shopping environment and fostering team development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
  • Oversee daily store operations, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to optimize product presentation
  • Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and promote store promotions
  • Oversee cash handling, POS transactions, and payroll processing with accuracy
  • Coordinate purchasing activities and manage vendor relationships for inventory procurement
  • Conduct employee orientation sessions and facilitate ongoing training & development programs
  • Monitor store metrics and prepare reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and staffing needs
  • Maintain organized store environment with effective merchandising and stocking practices
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a secure shopping environment

Experience

  • Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervisory responsibilities
  • Strong background in retail sales, inventory management, and merchandising strategies
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team management and employee development
  • Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and retail math principles
  • Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for diverse customer engagement
  • Experience with marketing initiatives, pricing strategies, and promotional activities
  • Familiarity with budgeting, purchasing processes, and administrative tasks such as payroll and recordkeeping
  • Prior assistant manager or supervisory experience preferred; demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively
  • Knowledge of wireless sales or grocery store operations is advantageous but not required
