The Certified Pharmacy Technician will work directly under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist and will assist in the preparation of medications according to professional standards of practice, law and Careteam Plus protocol and policy. The tech will prepare medications, pharmaceutical supplies, solutions and other pharmacy products and perform computer order entry, create labels, manage prescriptions and physician order sheets. Other duties may involve completing inventory, stocking, cleaning, ordering medications, facilitating prescription mail-out program and more and contributing to the efficiency, customer experience and overall success of the pharmacy.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- Highschool diploma required.
Experience
- A minimum of one-year pharmacy tech prior experience required.· Experience with Athena EMR preferred.
- Experience with Pioneer System preferred.
- Experience with 340b pharmacy preferred.
- · and in good standing with the SC Board of Pharmacy required or;· SC Board of pharmacy and in good standing with the SC Board of Pharmacy required.
- National Certification preferred.
- A pharm tech seeking authorization to administer vaccines has proof of completed an accredited course.· BLS required for any Pharm Tech educated and seeking to administer vaccines (see above).

- Effective verbal and written communication skills required.
- Organized, flexible and able to manage competing priorities required.
- Resourcefulness in problem solving required.
- Able to receive and follow through with delegated tasks and accountability required.
- High level PC skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office software required.
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty without accommodation or with accommodation without undue hardship to Careteam Plus.
- Enter prescriptions and verify appropriate and accurate information.
- Contact patients, pharmacists, and doctor's offices to resolve claims/prescription issues.
- Process prescriptions and assist pharmacists with basic pharmacy operation education.
- Resolve and address customer issues and questions.
- Facilitate mail-out processing daily.
- Packaging/repackaging as needed.
- Verify/re-verify insurance benefits.
- Interact courteously with patients and team members to develop and maintain positive and professional relationships.
- Answer incoming and make outbound calls to patients, case managers, providers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders.
