Seattle, WA (Preferred) — Remote candidates also acceptable

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced
Data Architect
with strong expertise in
Splunk, AWS Kinesis, and AWS Lambda
to design and optimize large-scale data pipelines, real-time streaming architectures, and analytics environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building robust, scalable, and secure cloud-native data solutions. Experience with
Connect Analytics
is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement end-to-end data architectures leveraging
    AWS Kinesis
    ,
    Lambda
    , and related streaming technologies.
  • Develop scalable real-time data ingestion and processing pipelines.
  • Manage and optimize
    Splunk
    environments including dashboards, alerting, log ingestion, and data retention.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, DevOps, Security, Analytics) to define data strategy and architecture standards.
  • Ensure high availability, data quality, and governance across all data systems.
  • Conduct performance tuning, troubleshooting, and cost optimization for AWS-based data workloads.
  • Implement best practices for security, monitoring, and operational excellence in cloud data environments.
  • (Nice to Have) Support and enhance
    Connect Analytics
    implementations.

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with
    Splunk
    (dashboards, log ingestion, data modeling).
  • Expertise in
    AWS Kinesis (Data Streams, Firehose)
    and
    AWS Lambda
    .
  • Solid understanding of streaming data architectures and event-driven systems.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services (S3, IAM, CloudWatch, Glue, Step Functions, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, or similar scripting languages.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data lifecycle management.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, distributed environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with
    Connect Analytics
  • Exposure to Snowflake, Redshift, or other data warehouse platforms
  • Experience with API integrations and microservices architectures
