Overview
We are seeking a friendly, professional Host to join our team and create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests for the morning shift. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and prior experience in food service or hospitality. As the first point of contact for our guests, the Host plays a vital role in ensuring a memorable dining or guest experience. This position offers an opportunity to develop customer service skills and gain valuable experience in the hospitality industry.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waiting lists efficiently
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus promptly
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Answer phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting area
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service
• Handle guest concerns or special requests with tact and professionalism
• Assist in managing guest relations to foster a positive atmosphere
• Support other front-of-house duties as needed to enhance guest satisfaction

Skills

• Previous host/host experience preferred, especially within food service or restaurant environments
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Experience in hospitality, hotel services, or serving is advantageous
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Professional phone etiquette and guest relations skills
• Knowledge of restaurant operations and guest services best practices
• Friendly demeanor with a focus on creating an inviting atmosphere for all guests

Pay: $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
