Job Summary:
Join our bustling warehouse in Seattle, Washington as a Material Handler! This physically demanding role is crucial for the smooth flow of goods within our facility. You will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, efficient operation of material handling equipment, and a good understanding of inventory control principles. We are looking for motivated individuals who are safety-conscious and ready to contribute to our logistics success. Proper use of PPE is mandatory, and knowledge of lifting techniques is essential. Your efforts directly impact the efficiency of our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload trucks and containers.
  • Transport raw materials, finished goods, and supplies to and from designated areas.
  • Perform regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance issues immediately.
  • Stack and arrange materials in an orderly and secure manner.
  • Assist with inventory counts and verification.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring aisles are clear and hazards are mitigated.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
  • Follow instructions for proper lifting and material handling to prevent injuries.
  • Participate in team efforts to achieve operational goals and maintain smooth logistics flow.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment required.
  • Valid forklift certification is a must.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds frequently.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Team-oriented with good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems is a plus.
