Join our vibrant warehouse team in Richmond, Virginia, as a Picker/Packer! This essential role is responsible for accurately fulfilling customer orders within our bustling logistics hub. You will utilize RF scanners to locate and retrieve items, ensure correct quantities, and package them securely for shipment. Our commitment to Safety is paramount; you will be required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to all safety guidelines. This position involves consistent physical activity, including regular Lifting of boxes and materials. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using RF scanners.
- Verify item numbers and quantities against order details.
- Pack orders using appropriate materials to ensure product safety.
- Prepare packed orders for shipment, including labeling and staging.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and warehouse environment.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including proper PPE usage.
- Perform frequent Lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Meet established productivity and quality standards.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Follow all logistics procedures to ensure smooth operations.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative work atmosphere.
- Report any safety concerns or equipment issues immediately.
- Ensure the accuracy of all orders processed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or warehouse operations is advantageous.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Experience with RF scanning equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform frequent Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to wear required PPE and follow all Safety guidelines.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
