We are hiring a Material Handler for our facility in sunny Orlando, Florida. In this role, you will be instrumental in the movement and organization of materials throughout the warehouse. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials to and from production areas, and ensuring accurate inventory counts. This is a physically demanding position that requires attention to detail and a commitment to safety. You will work closely with other warehouse staff and production teams to ensure a seamless workflow. The successful candidate will be adept at handling various types of materials and equipment, always prioritizing safety and efficiency. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, proactive, and eager to contribute to our logistics operations. Your understanding of proper material handling techniques and adherence to safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE, is critical. This role requires consistent physical activity, including significant Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and equipment within the facility.
- Verify the accuracy of material counts and documentation.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, free from hazards.
- Follow all established safety procedures and guidelines.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and proper PPE usage.
- Familiarity with various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
