We are seeking a diligent and experienced Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our warehouse team in Seattle, Washington. This role is pivotal in managing the inbound and outbound flow of goods, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and safety. You will be responsible for receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents, stocking inventory, preparing outgoing shipments, and coordinating with carriers. A strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management is essential. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining a secure and productive work environment. Your contributions will directly impact our supply chain's effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and document all incoming shipments.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy and damage.
- Store and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments according to order specifications.
- Generate shipping labels and necessary documentation.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pickups and deliveries.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and stock checks.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Support other logistics and warehouse functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in shipping and receiving, or a related warehouse role.
- Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and warehouse logistics.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
