Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Accurately record all incoming inventory using the warehouse management system.
- Tag and label received items for proper storage.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate personnel.
- Organize and stage incoming materials for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or a similar warehouse role preferred.
- Proficiency in using scanning equipment and basic computer software.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes is a plus.
- Commitment to upholding safety standards and using required PPE.
