We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Material Handler to join our dynamic warehouse team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the movement and organization of materials within our facility. This includes loading and unloading trucks, operating manual equipment like pallet jacks and hand trucks, and accurately staging materials for production or shipment. You will also assist with inventory counts and help maintain a clean and organized workspace. Attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety are paramount. This position is crucial to our daily logistics operations, ensuring that materials are readily available when and where they are needed. The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing physically demanding tasks, including significant Lifting , and will adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures regarding workplace conduct and the proper use of PPE .
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Operate manual material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Inspect equipment before and after use.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics .
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and use of PPE .
