Our expanding logistics operation in Orlando, Florida, needs a dedicated Material Handler to support our warehouse activities. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the facility, loading and unloading trucks, and assisting with inventory management. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment by strictly adhering to safety protocols and wearing required PPE. You will be an essential part of our supply chain, ensuring the timely and accurate flow of goods. We value teamwork, reliability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Move materials within the warehouse using hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, or other equipment.
- Organize and store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper inventory control.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and order picking processes.
- Conduct routine inspections of warehouse equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company standards.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with stock discrepancies resolution.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient warehouse operations and logistics flow.
- Safely handle materials, involving regular lifting and movement of goods up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Experience with forklifts is a plus.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving up to 50 lbs.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic knowledge of logistics and inventory management.
