Our Chicago, Illinois location seeks a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to manage and maintain accurate stock levels. This role is vital for our efficient logistics operations, ensuring product availability and minimizing discrepancies. You will conduct regular cycle counts, investigate variances, and assist in implementing inventory control measures. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy. We maintain a high standard for Safety; all employees must follow established Safety protocols and utilize the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. This position may involve physical tasks including, but not limited to, Lifting and moving inventory. Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate cycle counts and physical inventory verification.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies efficiently.
- Maintain meticulous inventory records within our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Assist with the receiving and put-away of goods, ensuring proper location and labeling.
- Monitor stock levels and report potential stockouts or excesses to management.
- Generate and analyze inventory reports.
- Ensure warehouse storage areas are organized and maintained.
- Provide support to the logistics team on inventory-related matters.
- Strictly adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts for inventory management processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree is a plus.
- Prior experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar warehouse inventory role.
- Proficiency with inventory software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail is essential.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting and physical movement.
- Commitment to upholding Safety standards and wearing appropriate PPE.
