Join our busy warehouse in St. Louis, Missouri, as a skilled Forklift Operator. This role is essential for the efficient movement of goods within our facility. You will be responsible for operating a forklift safely and effectively to load and unload trucks, move materials to and from storage areas, and assist with inventory management. Maintaining a safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations, and performing routine checks on equipment are critical aspects of this position. Responsibilities:
- Operating forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Safely transporting goods throughout the warehouse.
- Storing products in designated locations and organizing inventory.
- Assisting with picking and packing orders when required.
- Conducting pre-operation checks on forklifts and reporting any issues.
- Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Assisting with inventory counts and record-keeping.
- Following all guidelines for safe Lifting and material handling.
- Contributing to the efficient flow of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting and bending.
- Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety glasses and vests.
- Understanding of logistics principles is a plus.
