We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our warehouse team in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory records. Your duties will include conducting cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, performing stock takes, and assisting with inventory control processes. This position is crucial for ensuring efficient warehouse operations and supporting our logistics network. If you have a strong aptitude for numbers, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy, this is an excellent opportunity for you. You will play a key role in ensuring our inventory is accurately tracked and managed.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventory counts.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies promptly and accurately.
- Update inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or overages.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes to ensure correct inventory placement.
- Track and manage inventory movement, including transfers and adjustments.
- Identify and report damaged or expired stock.
- Implement and adhere to inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including proper lifting techniques and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to resolve inventory-related issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized inventory storage area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a related field.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software or WMS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds.
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
Our focus on safety extends to inventory management. All Inventory Clerks must follow established safety protocols, including correct lifting methods and the mandatory use of PPE, to ensure a secure and efficient logistics environment.
